I bought these for my 5 yr. old son and the teal ones for my 6 yr. old daughter and they love them. I checked out alot of skates before making a decision. I went with the Mongoose skates because they have good bearings, 70mm wheels, which are a good size for beginners, two straps and laces for support, they adjust 4 sizes so they will last for years, they look good and the price is low. I was skeptical to buy them before looking at them but they were shipped quickly and I was impressed when I opened them up, they are well made.
